Vitality check (early ultrasound)
A vitality ultrasound is an early ultrasound that checks the fetus’s viability. We offer a vitality ultrasound after you’ve had some vaginal bleeding or if you’re experiencing severe cramping. Even if you’re worried, you can easily have a vitality ultrasound. A vitality ultrasound isn’t always covered by basic health insurance. You can have this ultrasound from approximately 7 weeks of pregnancy. The ultrasound technician checks the heartbeat and whether everything looks normal for the duration of the pregnancy. If you have the ultrasound before 9 weeks of pregnancy, we usually perform a vaginal ultrasound, as otherwise, there’s insufficient visibility through the abdomen.

Het plaatsen van de Implanon NXT
De assistente zal een telefonische afspraak met de verloskundige voor je maken. Daarin zal zij samen met jou doorspreken welke anticonceptie het beste bij jou past. Als je je keuze hebt gemaakt wordt de anticonceptie besteld en krijg je het thuis opgestuurd.
Let op: Maak het pakketje niet open!
De afspraak duurt in totaal ongeveer 20 minuten, maar het plaatsen van de implanon zijn binnen enkele minuten al klaar. Je arm wordt plaatselijk verdoofd voordat de Implanon NXT wordt geplaatst. Na de plaatsing mag je meteen naar huis. Na het plaatsen van de implanon NXT krijg je een verband om je arm die je 24 uur moet laten zitten.
6 weken na de plaatsing heb je nog een nacontrole afspraak, hierbij wordt gekeken of de implanon nog goed zit.
