We supervise outpatient deliveries in TerGooi and all hospitals in Amsterdam and the surrounding area.
Are you curious about what to expect from your midwife? We’ll explain it to you. You can come to us if you have a desire to get pregnant, if you’re pregnant for the first time, or if you’ve been pregnant before. In addition to midwifery care, you can also come to us for most ultrasounds. You’re probably curious about when you can see your baby and what will be visible on the ultrasound. You might also want to know which ultrasounds are covered, how many ultrasounds you’ll get, and how an ultrasound works.
Bloodwork
For blood draws, you don’t have to go anywhere else. We just prick you as needed at our practice and send your blood to the lab. At the beginning of your pregnancy, we will test your blood for your blood type, Rh factor, iron levels, and infectious diseases. If necessary, additional tests will be conducted, such as an extra glucose check or antibodies for chickenpox. Around 30 weeks of pregnancy, we will check your iron levels again.
You can also choose the NIPT . This is a screening test that can check if your baby has Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome, or Patau syndrome.
